What is the purpose of the scholarship?
This scholarship, supported by Novartis aims to encourage the exchange of best practice amongst centres of cystic fibrosis (CF) patient care. It gives CF nurses the opportunity to develop their ideas within the stimulating research environment provided by CF centres of excellence.

Can I apply?
You are eligible if you are a nurse specialising in the care of CF patients and a member of the International Nurse Specialist Group .
You can apply from anywhere in the world. If you are currently working outside Europe, however, you must arrange to undertake your placement in a CF centre of excellence in Europe.
A one-off payment of GBP30 or EUR20 is payable to join the International Nurse Specialist group. This can be done using the scholarship application form
Timelines for the 2006 Best Care Scholarship
Closing date for applications: December 1st, 2005
Winner notified: January 31st, 2006
Research project carried out: By June 2006
Presentation of findings: ECFC June 2006

I have submitted my application form. What happens next?
An international panel consisting of 5 members of the International Nurse Specialist Group and two CF clinicians will review all the applications. You will then be notified of the outcome of your application by January 31st, 2005.
