Carmen Arcay Veira

Carmen Arcay Veira is a Nurse and a Researcher from A Coruña, Spain, where she works at the University Hospital "Juan Canalejo", Pediatric Pneumology Unit.

Nursing care is a key element in the treatment of cystic fibrosis. It must provide an integral attention, both to clinical aspects and to the family, school and psychosocial environment.

We think that a good family climate has a positive effect on the biosocial development of the patient.
Our study intends to determine which aspects of the family environment influence patient welfare. The results will allow us to implement initiatives designed to improve care and consequently patient quality of life.
